Hi im planning to learn blender now and i have average experience with 3ds max and have done mid level work with it from about 20 years ago ...

As the first step, you need to click the 3ds Max logo and choose “Export > Export (Export non-native file formats from the current 3ds Max scene)”.

In this tutorial I will show you how to export a 3d model from 3ds Max to Blender. You will learn how to customize the PBR materials in Blender.
